Today was our eternal hanging around on the island will finally be retired but bored and we started at 08.00 clock by boat to the mainland in order to catch the bus to Kratie (Cambodia) to catch. We knew at the time was not that the trip would take another 7.5 hours, but those are all just details:)
From 1 Bus times we went to the Lao border, where we for the departure stamp (the country) was equal to $ 1 abgeknoepft times. Then walk through Nomansland to Kambodschianischen Grenzhuette (no joke, the frontier is actually only 2 wooden huts). The march was our only company the goat herd that eats the grass there by anyone. After all the visa formalities laid down, and we back up 21 were $ poorer, we were at the back Kambodschianischen Grenzhuette abgeknoepft $ 1 for the stamp. But after it's probably not a good idea because with border officials dollars to start a dispute, we have increased the balance of $ 3 officials rip off in the bus. This bus and the area around it must probably honestly and irrefutably the hottest spot on this world. Of this I am firmly convinced, after the loss of my entire body fluids in the nearly 2 hours waiting time!
(Super hygienic ice, minibus)
complete with sweat and happy about the wind we went into town Stung Treng. Getting there was somewhat unnerving because it's much left of which, I suppose originally ever no longer existing tropical landscape. Either it was already burned everything and it just burned. It is for us I think just hard to imagine that it burns down tropical rain forest to construction or simply to get their size ARABLE LAND somehow not in relation with the then existing number of houses is ... shocking!
was called in Stung Treng then again bus switch (of course back through to 1.5 hours waiting time). This was enough time for Werner same time the honesty of the Kambodschianer in a very dubious way to test. While he comes back just gets a French couple for a Cambodian bus I suddenly meet with a European passport and ask around if anyone has lost his passport. Somehow I had been there quite a peculiar feeling in the stomach and when I asked him my photo to show the passport wars clear. The dear Werner grinned out from the found passport. A Cambodian woman had the passport along with the vaccination in the money too was in there and found somewhere on the toilet and immediately on the point made the rightful owner to be identified. AND - all the money was still in there! After about a hundred times thank you, and about twice as many warnings from a local to be careful we went in the 3rd This bus trip on to Kratie. A driver who was probably followed by the devil brought the packed minibus somehow safely to their destination in 2h. After about 5 minutes search even a very comfortable room for $ 5 was found the night. The remainder of the program in Kratie restricted to showers, food, bus Get ticket, buy fruit, showers, blogging and sleeping (perhaps again in between showers).
(Kratie market)
On the island of Don Det we have once caught a brief look at a thermometer (36 degrees after sunset) - but the further we go in the south to feel so ruthless in the sun. Let's see how tomorrow's (hopefully really only 6 hours) bus ride to Phnom Penh is Sun In any case, I am looking forward to huge on it again in the capital have had us'm looking forward compared to my last visit there is.
